J-1: Intern Exchange Visitor

1. J-1 Intern Exchange Visitor visas are for foreign nationals who are either currently enrolled and pursuing their degrees or post-secondary education outside the U.S.; or graduated from such institution not more than 12 months ago.

 

2. Family members of a J-1 Intern may join him/her in the U.S.
